Decent jobs
Poverty is combated by developing an economy that creates opportunities for investment, initiative, professional development, and sustainable livelihoods. A more equal distribution of the world’s wealth is best ensured through decent jobs, collective agreements, minimum wages, and social security with access to pensions and health insurance. The DTDA has a particular focus on the two billion people living hand to mouth in the informal economy.
We work for a green and just transition with a focus on vocational training, job creation and security, retraining for new technologies, and social safety nets in cooperation with the social partners.
Meet Paolo and Evalina from Tanzania, who have both completed a vocational education and found decent employment.
